The Process Is the Purpose

My reasons for starting a blog were three-fold.

1.      First, recording my personal experience of expansion during this wonderful time of The Great Birthing anchors it in my psyche. I love sharing what I’ve learned and how I’m blessed with my current state of happiness.

2.      Second, it can stimulate your thinking about what your expansion looks like. I suggest that you are further along than you think, and I’d like to help you see the signs in everyday life. Here are great big juicy kudos!

3.      And third, as we all Become our best selves, we make our immediate worlds better, which inspires our friends and neighbors and then their friends and neighbors and before you know it, lots of things are better and our New World is squirming its way through the birth canal.

We live in a holographic world, so my expansion facilitates your expansion and yours helps me in the purest form of collaboration.  My Mayan sister Magdala taught me the phrase “In Lakesh,” which means “I am your other you.” I’m learning to cooperate with this process and how to language it. Your comments will be helpful, so please participate in the conversation.

At this time I can feel the expansion that is taking place on the planet--the flow of energies is a palpably strong, supportive current--and for me they are like a personal/cosmic Big Bang. The more I follow guidance to the Next Thing, the clearer the Next Thing becomes. Here are some of the passions that brighten my days.

·         Writing-writing-writing-writing, and every harvest of expression seeds for future projects. Poetry, essays/blog, fiction, business plan;

·         Speaking at service and business clubs (How to Hold Your Center While the World Swirls Around You);

·         Holding classes and ceremonies at Colorado Free University (Shamanism for Modern Life; Soul Retrieval for Wholeness; Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream).

·         Working on the idea of holding free open ceremonies in public parks this summer to help raise awareness and vibration and build community.

·         AND organizing group travel:

(1) to take poets to other countries to interact with their poets, develop relationships and move our art into public consciousness. (If you’ve ever written a poem or just love a good one, you’re a poet.)

(2) to take Lightworkers, Spiritual Warriors, and Ceremonialists (You know who you are!) to special places around the world to hold healing ceremonies, commune with the Spirits of the Land, and build relationships between travelers and hosts.

I follow where the energies pull, and as soon as a synchronicity occurs, I can see the interconnecting pattern of energy, where it will lead and what it’s weaving. I am not planning this in my head, then executing it. I am following the energy of passion in each moment to tell me where to direct my attention next. It’s my Soul-Body-Mind. It is Grace. It is Joy. It is amazing.

The flip side to all of this movement is the dictum to stay put, sit still, listen, feel, BE. That in itself is an experience of deepening, of connecting, of receiving the beauty and miracles that constitute everyday life. BEing facilitates relationship, because I can feel the connections more keenly, whether to the cat in my lap or the cow in the pasture. It’s then that I am one with sunlight streaming through snowclouds and the sparkle off each falling snowflake. Peace wraps around me like the smile of God.

I have never been as happy as I am now, and the more I embrace that happiness with gratitude and thanks, the more happiness I can see and feel coming. While I am doing the work that is embraced in the dream, I can surrender to the flow with greater ease and freedom to experiment. My moments hold more depth, meaning and promise. I’m getting used to this vibration.

All these activities are mining my authentic self. I know when I strike pay-dirt because a thrill goes through my body and I feel excited and light enough to lift off. It’s a remarkable experience getting to know new parts of myself even as they expand their influence in my life. My present self and future self are arm in arm and grinning broadly. They look pretty pleased with themselves. Frankly, I’m rather pleased with them, too.
