With great Sadness that Alaya: The Shaman Store, is closing its doors, I wish to thank Sumitra Rosella and all her staff for their service to our spiritual and worldly communities. We will miss that place of gathering and light. As a result, participants in the Shaman's Way 2005 apprenticeship will gather in my Sacred Space in Oakland, a 5-minute walk from BART and easy access by freeway. Please call 510-593-6803 or email spirit@barbarasnow.com to reserve your place and get directions.

Sacred Hoop will meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 7:30 to 9:30pm and will enjoy Pilgrimages to beautiful natural sites and Sacred Fires the Sunday afternoon nearest the full moon.

The Shaman's Way will provide the spiritual context and tools in which to re-examine your life and claim whatever will nourish your health and growth and fulfill your most cherished dreams. In the safe intimacy of Sacred Hoop you can release fear and receive support and guidance to become fully the strong, loving reflection of the Divine that you have always been. The next Sacred Hoop will be held February 15th, at which I will report on the ayllu gathering at Camp Oliver the weekend of February 11-13th.

The Real Work

It may be that when we no longer know what to do,
we have come to our real work, and that
when we no longer know which way to go,
we have come to our real journey.
The mind that is not baffled is not employed.
The impeded stream is the one that sings.

~ Wendell Berry ~

You are cordially invited to participate in

The Shaman’s Way, 2005

A journey to greater fulfillment during which you gently and lovingly release what has held you back and bring forth those parts of yourself that will radiate your full essence and power. The tools available include the following:

• The Pachakuti Mesa:

A personal healing altar that visually and viscerally anchors your imaginative potential into ordinary reality. Through your Mesa you invoke your Highest Good in collaboration with your intuitive knowing of Who You Are. Working with your Mesa, you influence circumstances for the health and well-being of all.

• Sacred Hoop:

A Community of people intending to live more fully, gracefully and joyfully. Shared experiences of the supportive realities of the unseen world and progressive healing within Circle confirm and broaden our perceptions and support our soul’s growth.

• Pilgrimages and Sacred Fires:

Day trips to natural settings in our region will deepen our understanding of our relationship with Nature: how small events teach us and how we feed earth with sacred offerings. Songs, stories and Ceremonies around Sacred Fire – besides being great fun – change our state of mind powerfully and positively.

The Apprenticeship will include one night per month – the 3rd Tuesday – and one Sunday afternoon near the full moon. Each event is $25. Carpools will be available for outings. Please contact Barbara Snow if you have interest or questions. 510-593-6803. spirit@barbarasnow.com.
