In Quechua, the language of the Inkas, Pachakuti means world reversal or transformation, like the Chinese character that represents both crisis and opportunity. A Mesa is a personal altar that performs multiple functions. As a mirror for the soul, it is a physical representation of Being and map for the intention to Become. A mesa is a focus for meditation, chanting, breath work, energy work, and a gateway through which to channel intention, love, energy and prayers for healing through time and space. It mirrors the subconscious (lower world), ordinary reality, (middle world) and spiritual awareness of the human psyche (upper world). Through the mesa rumi or centerpiece, the Rainbow Bridge, we connect with All That Is. Beginning with a manta cloth, stone, shell, feather, candle and symbolic centerpiece, the Mesa offers any spiritual practice a powerful tool for personal and communal healing and evolution.

Barbara Snow holds Sacred Hoop and related classes based on the Pachakuti Mesa and facilitates healing work with her Altar Mayor. See Calendar for upcoming events.
